Craft.Ed by The Mystic Geek: Handmade Jewelry & Spiritual Tools
Welcome to Craft.Ed by The Mystic Geek, my online shop for handmade creations (and the occasional fun find).
About Me
Hi, I’m Jess, aka "The Mystic Geek." As a Spiritual Connection Mentor, I blend traditional life coaching with mystical practices like divination and energy work to help spiritual folks tackle whatever life throws at them. For over twenty years*, I’ve been deep into studying magick and performing mystical workings.
Back in 2018, I made the leap from offering magical support to friends and family to starting my business as a Tarot reader. Over time, I’ve grown my skills in psychic readings, mediumship, palmistry, and energy healing. Working with metaphysical shops introduced me to using crystals as spiritual tools. As a witch who knows the power of the mind, I see how keeping a piece of citrine can boost confidence, but I’m skeptical of the hype around pricey rocks like Moldavite.
My Stance on Crystals
I believe the power of crystals comes from three places:
- The inherent energies and frequencies within the stones.
- The collective belief in their metaphysical properties, influenced by chemical composition and color.
- Our own desires to influence our environment and mindset.
Take rose quartz, for example. Is it the stone’s frequency, our collective belief that pink equals love, or the act of buying it to boost self-love that makes it effective? Like many mystical practices, it’s a mix of faith and intention.
Engaging the Senses
Do I believe in aromatherapy? Kinda. Vick’s Vaporub was a cure-all in my childhood home, but I know its limits.
I do believe in the mind’s power and the impact of scent on our well-being. The right scent can make you feel like a boss or mask your coworker’s fishy lunch. That’s why my bracelets often include lava stones for essential oils—a modern twist on the perfumed handkerchief.
Craftsmanship and Quality
Real talk: I’ve worked in metaphysical shops, and I get it—people want to know if the gemstones are real. Some shady folks sell colored glass as crystals. I source my beads from reputable suppliers like Tejas Beads, Intrinsic Trading, Annie’s Beads, and Fire Mountain Gems. These wholesalers value quality and reputation, unlike some sketchy online marketplaces.
Handmade in Minnesota
Every bracelet is handmade by me, from selecting the stones to crafting the final piece. Each one features a stainless steel bead with my logo, my personal and energetic signature.
By buying from Craft.Ed, you’re supporting a small, witchy business and promoting ethically sourced, sustainable products in the spiritual and wellness industries.
* Good luck getting me to spill the exact number of years. Fine, since 2000. I took on the challenge of studying witchcraft while attending a Catholic school.
